Gemcitabine significantly inhibits the Cisplatin-induced VEGF gene expression in Caov-3 cells. The cells were treated with or without 100 μM of Cisplatin for 24 hours in the presence or absence of 100 nM of Gemcitabine for 12 hours. Total RNA was isolated and reverse transcribed, and the resulting cDNA was used for PCR to detect the VEGF gene (upper panel).
