Invasion of round vimentin-positive cells with diameters of 10–15 μm deeper into the ovarian tissue. These cells (arrows) were at some places accumulated at the surface of the tissue and progressed deeper into the tissue by their change into the mesenchymal-like phenotype (a–c) by producing protrusions (d–g) and elongation (h); after changing their shape, they were still positive for vimentin.
