B. coccineus ethanol leaf extract suppresses colony formation in ovarian cancer cells. (a) OvCa cells were treated with B. coccineus extract and incubated for 10 days. Crystal violet 0.1% was used to stain the cells. A phase-contrasts light microscopy at 4X magnification was used to capture the images. (b) Quantitative data; the number of colonies containing over 50 cells were counted. Data presented as the Mean ± SEM, and level of significance was determined by students t- tests. The asterisks ** indicates P < 0.01. The experiments were repeated three times
