NR5A1 induction upregulates steroidogenesis markers but downregulates the aromatase enzyme CYP19A1. A RT-qPCR analysis of markers associated with steroidogenesis showed that NR5A1 induction upregulated the markers STAR, CYP11A1, CYP17A1, HSD3B2 and HSD17B1, but downregulated the aromatase enzyme CYP19A1.
